A Pair of Aces is a gripping novel about two trailblazing women on opposite sides of the law who team up to bring down notorious Mob boss Lucky Luciano in 1930s New York. Author Victoria Christopher Murray will join us virtually to discuss the novel and give insight into the unlikely alliance between Eunice Carter, the first Black female prosecutor in Manhattan, and the city’s most notorious madam, Polly Adler.
